According to the instructions of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, the National Disaster Preparedness Day, 2018 was celebrated in Barguna district on 10 March, 2018. In the event of National Disaster Preparedness Day, in 2016, the competition was organized among students of government and non-government educational institutions. Besides, a series of earthquake and fire related exercises were conducted in connection with rallies, awareness raising meetings and Fire Service, CPP and Red Crescent participants.
